One of Scantrust's most popular features is our product traceability and status of every secure unique identifier, including QR codes with an anti-counterfeiting feature. Scantrust provides its secure QR code track and trace technology, allowing you to connect products and bring brand protection, supply chain awareness, and consumer engagement benefits to your company. Regions on the Scantrust portal can be one single country, a group of countries, or custom-drawn areas.
Here are the steps to set up the Regions.
1. Click on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
2. On the slide-out menu, click on "Regions".
3. Left to the map, in the "Define your Region Groups" column, at the bottom of the screen, you will see a "+" sign button, click on it.
4. Then, you'll have two options: either draw your own region or add a list of countries:
Draw my own
5. In the pop-up window, add the Region Group Name.
6. Then, click on "CREATE".
7. In the "Define your Region" column at the bottom of the screen, click on the "ADD" button. In the pop-up window, add the following:
- Region name (defines the regions you are going to draw).
- Region key (must be lower case).
8. Click on "CREATE".
9. Click on the region name you just created.
10. Now you can draw your region using the tools on the upper left of the map (your drawing can be very detailed - in that case, make sure to zoom in, or very general, the last point must equal the first point to finish, you can always edit later).
List of countries
5.1. In the pop-up window, add the following:

- Click on: "CREATE".
5.2. In the "Define your Region" column at the bottom of the screen, click on the "ADD" button. In the pop-up window, add the following:

* We recommend setting up alpha-2 standard lowercase as the region key. Please refer to the country codes list
if you set up regions other than countries; recommend a non-alpha-2 lowercase key in all cases.
The key name will be used in CSV file upload or API calls when updating the SCM data.
