Although the UK laws do not ban the use of a QR code the regulations are different, you may therefore be wondering if the products that you export to that market are also required to comply with the EU regulations.
Our Interpretation of the regulations is that Article 119 of Regulation 1308/2013, which now includes the list of ingredients and nutrition declaration, applies to all products sold in the European Union, and to all EU products exported to third countries. In case the EU regulations conflict with the regulations of the third country (in this case the UK), then it is up to each Member State to exempt producers from following the EU regulations.
As always please note that it is important for you to consult your legal counsel as well as your national regulatory authority to clarify all questions about the regulations.
