Custom Domain - why does the QR Code not redirect to my Custom Domain when scanning the QR Code

The custom domain defines what is encoded in the QR Code URL.

Custom Domains can be configured in the Scantrust System, but what does it mean?

- the QR URL that is encoded will include your custom domain as the prefix

- when consumers scan the code, rather than showing the default code space prefix (right)will show your custom domain in the preview (left)

It identifies to the consumer that this code is indeed a legitimate website they know, rather than something unknown.

It is important to note, that the content is still hosted on Scantrust. That is why, after the code is scanned, the URL link in the browser shows your custom domain only very briefly (if you blink you'll miss it). It will immediately redirect the consumer to the content (a landing page, an e-label page)
in the browser you will then see something that starts with something like this:

https://stc.scantrust.c...

https://elabel.scantrust.c...
