Scantrust e-Label solution offers a digital and dynamic approach to product labeling, including the ability to display allergen information through standardized allergen pictograms.
What are Allergen Pictograms?
Allergen pictograms are standardized symbols used to visually represent common allergens present in products. They serve as a quick and easy way for consumers to identify potential allergens without needing to read through lengthy ingredient lists. This visual representation helps customers with allergies make safer and faster purchasing decisions.
Why Use Allergen Pictograms in e-Labeling?
-
Global Consistency: Pictograms ensure that allergen information is communicated consistently across different regions and languages. This is particularly important in markets where regulations and language barriers may differ.
-
Quick Identification: Consumers can easily spot allergens at a glance, making the shopping experience faster and reducing the risk of accidental exposure to allergens.
-
Regulatory Compliance: Many countries have strict labeling requirements for allergens. By using standardized allergen pictograms, companies can comply with various international labeling regulations, ensuring that they meet legal obligations.
-
Mobile-Friendly Display: With e-Label solutions, these pictograms can be seamlessly integrated into a digital label accessible through a QR code scan. This enables consumers to access allergen information on their smartphones while shopping.
