Recent Change in Regulation for Spain :
Sorting instructions for all products sold in Spain are mandatory since January 1, 2025. On December 16, 2024, the Spanish authorities published the official notice authorizing the presentation of this information by means of a digital label. Please find the link to the official notice here.
Adding Spanish Recycling Information
1. - In the e-label editor, go to the Recyclability section and turn on the toggle "Comply with Spanish recycling regulations" . Then click on ADD PACKAGING:
2. Then select the packaging type from the drop-down menu.
3. Click on SELECT LABEL.
4. Pick the correct label for your packaging material:
Information about what the symbols mean
Blue
For clean paper and cardboard: Cardboard boxes, dividers, alveoli, and Cardboard cases.
Yellow
For packaging (Plastic containers, metal containers, and cartons)
Capsule, muzzle, sleeve, metal part, metal mesh cover, synthetic stopper, screw cap, cork stopper*, grouping boxes or wooden cases
* Cork stoppers: should be placed in the yellow container. However, they may be placed with the bio-waste fraction (brown container) if the stoppers comply with EN 13432:2001, as well as other European and national standards on plastic compostability.
Green
For glass and jars: glass bottle, glass stopper.
Brown
Compostable packaging:
Grey
The rest of the waste is not included in the other categories:
