Indication of the Actual Alcoholic Strength for Wine and Aromatized Wine

Wine

For wine products, the actual alcoholic strength by volume (alcohol by volume) should be indicated in percentage units or half-units, i.e. rounded to the nearest 0,5%, as per Article 44 of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/33.

The alcohol volume shown in the e-label should match the value indicated on the physical label of the bottle.

 

Aromatized Wine

For aromatized wine products and spirits,  the actual alcoholic strength by volume should be indicated in percentage by a figure having no more than 1 decimal place, i.e. rounded to the nearest 0,1%, as per Article 28 and Annex XII of Regulation (EU) 1169/2011.
The alcohol volume shown in the e-label should match the value indicated on the physical label of the bottle.
