The French authorities have officially allowed the redirection to marketing content from a regulatory e-label, provided that consumers are 100% aware that the marketing content is not associated with the regulatory e-label itself. This means that the marketing content must not be displayed in the regulatory e-label and must not be directly accessible from the e-label – multiple clicks are required.
So far, no other EU Member States has given an official position on this matter, but you can choose to hide or display this link for other EU countries.
By default, this link will be displayed in France and in all non-EU countries (except Norway, which is more restrictive about marketing content), and it will be hidden in all other EU countries. However, you have the possibility to decide, for each country, if you wish to display it or not, by deselecting/selecting countries in the drop-down list.
