There are ‘Update Tasks’ and ‘Lookup Tasks’. The Scantrust System allows a Brand to configure users with granular access rights:
- based on their user roles (example: SCM User, Inspector User) --> handled via Scantrust user roles
- based on their association to a regional team (example: China Team, Singapore Team, Germany Team) --> handled via the teams feature
- based on their role within a regional team (example: Brand’s central warehouse manager, distributor, retailer) --> handled via the teams feature
There is no technical limit to
- the number of tasks that can be created
- the number of Teams that can be created
Update Tasks:
- An update Task can be general: aka give the user access to 2 SCM fields which that user can then populate with the data they want/need.
Example:
SCM Field: Intended Market: ____________ (no information filled in)
SCM Field: Distributor: ____________ (no information filled in)
SCM Field: Intended Market: ____________ (no information filled in)
SCM Field: Distributor: ____________ (no information filled in)
- An Update Task can be specific: aka give the user access to a task that will populate the 2 SCM fields with data that is already predetermined (to lighten the workload for frequently recurring update requirements)
Example:
SCM Field: Intended Market: China (information will be auto-filled)
SCM Field: Distributor: Walmart (information will be auto-filled)
SCM Field: Intended Market: China (information will be auto-filled)
SCM Field: Distributor: Walmart (information will be auto-filled)
- and an update task can be the combination of both, general and specific.
Example:
SCM Field: Intended Market: China (information will be auto-filled)
SCM Field: Distributor: ____________ (no information filled in)
Lookup Tasks:
When a user is given the ability to Authenticate or QuickScan, here the brand can define what a particular team (aka user) can see:
- none, one, any, or all SCM fields
