Learn more about your consumers - Typeform hidden fields setup

Add hidden fields in your Typeform when it is configured on the landing page to learn more about your consumers.

Please follow the steps to:

Enable hidden fields/URL Parameters in Typeform settings:

1. Create/edit your Typeform

2. Click "WORKFLOW" at the top of the screen (you will see the logic flow of your typeform):

If your typeform is very long, you may need to zoom in on the logic 

if you zoom in enough, you will then see the following: 

3. Click on "Pull data in". 

4. In the Pop-up that appears, you can then add/remove the Hidden Fields (which are now called custom parameters):

5. Click on "+ "Add new parameter" 

The default parameters that Scantrust can record:

Add fields as below, and you will receive data accordingly:

  • @country - The country that user scans from
  • @serial_number - serial number of the code
  • @product - the product to which the code belongs to
  • @code - code extended id
  • @scan_id - uid of the scan
  • @lang - the language used on the consumer's device
  • @scan_result - code's scan result

Once you have set up your Typeform and hidden fields, click on "Publish" and copy the URL.

Set up in STC Editor in the Scantrust portal

1. Go to the STC editor.

2. Add a "Typeform pop-up" widget to the content layout box:


3. Click on the edit button.

4. Enter the button text and paste your Typeform URL, then remove all the strings from #:

5. Click __2022-04-28_16.44.44.png on the Typeform widget, and click the UPDATE button in the STC editor

6. Your STC is updated.

7. Now, when a user submits a Typeform, you will receive the data you set in hidden fields. Please check in Typeform - Results - Responses:
